| American born Taiwanese DJ and producer, Andrew Chen aka Shogun, has captivated audiences worldwide with his DJ skills and productions. As one of the leading voices of Asian EDM's on an international scale, Shogun has been on fire with productions being picked up by the world's top labels and he has gained full support from the biggest names in the industry. As the first Taiwanese DJ and producer to be signed to Armin Van Buuren's label Armada, it has motivated him in many ways. "To have a record label like Armada take notice in your work is such an honor. I am truly happy and honored to join their roster of so many talented artists. I also feel that there are not enough asians representing the electronic music scene today, and hopefully I can inspire more asian producers for bigger things in the future." says Shogun. Shogun's tech-trance stormer "Connected" has been played and featured by Armin Van Buuren on the world's most listened to radio show, A State of Trance - Episode 431 and 432. It was chosen exclusively by Markus Schulz to appear on his new highly anticipated compilation CD - Las Vegas 2010. Also, Shogun's track "Nadia" was featured on Above & Beyond's popular radio show, Trance Around The World - Episode 303. Both tracks have stirred up quite a buzz and is expected to be a massive release which will be out soon on the highly acclaimed dutch label, Armada. Shogun's other productions have also gained him full support from top artists including Paul Van Dyk, Agnelli & Nelson, Aly & Fila and many more. As one half of the former dark tech-trance producing duo, DrewV & KAS, his releases "Panic Room" and "AT3" were on constant rotation and featured by Paul Van Dyk on the popular radio show Vonyc Sessions. Since parting ways from KAS and focusing on his new sound, his peak time trance tracks have caught the attention of world famous Egyptian trance duo Aly & Fila in which they have featured several of Shogun's tracks including "Nowhere To Run", "Moonlight Over Asia", "Re-Ignition" and "City of Angels" on their radio show - Future Sound of Egypt, as well as being played on many of their live sets. As a DJ, Shogun has headlined events across the globe and also spun alongside top DJ's in the world such as Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, BT and more. Serving as the resident DJ of Ministry of Sound Nightclub for over 3 years, his exclusive nine hour sets at the superclub set the standard for epic nights that can only be described as an emotional and amazing journey. These sets were also broadcasted live on Ministry of Sound Radio to thousands of listeners worldwide. With over a dozen radio stations broadcasting his shows, Shogun's exclusive mixes can be heard on several radio stations including Digitally Imported (di.fm), Globalbeats.fm, Sense.FM and Discover Trance Radio. He also has a long running radio show "Trancemission" which can be heard exclusively on Ensonic Radio, as well as a syndicated show called "The White Room Episodes" which broadcasts over a dozen stations globally.
