Aava

Pasi Korhonen, 23, is a Finnish producer and the man behind name Aava. Having listened to all kind of electronic music for all his life, interest to produce own songs was born in the mid-1990’s. Like with many others, the first tracks were compiled using trackers on Amiga 500 and after that on PC using the legendary FastTracker. Things have sure changed since those days. Nowadays Korhonen enjoys very large variety of music and also tries to show that in his productions. Tracks made under the disguise Aava are mostly melodic and progressive trance but productions under other aliases can be pretty much everything. The latest interest has been movie score - like tracks that take elements from many different genres.
The first own release Aava - Karma/SID was released on May 2005 and was immediately playlisted by names such as Paul van Dyk, Above & Beyond, M.I.K.E., Lange, Menno De Jong, Mike Shiver and many others.
